MEET
JONATHAN!

Whether it came to balancing complex budgets or finding creative solutions to problems, Jonathan has had his fair share of finding solutions to difficult tasks.

Our Government works best when it focuses on what matters to you, preparing for what comes next and providing the seed capital for solutions the private sector refuses to fund. Our Legislature works best when a diversity of ideas, a commitment to fairness, a willingness to compromise, and a bias to action exist. I bring this focus and these qualities to the legislative table. Please join me in my campaign for District 8.

I have lived in Collin County since 1983, initially in Richardson, then Plano, and now Fairview.  Along with my wife, Holly, and our two youngest children, Ryan, 17, and Sarah, 13, we built our home in Fairview in 2013.  Our oldest daughter, Kristin, is an assistant high school principal in California, and our oldest son, Drew, is an attorney in New York City.

Professionally I am a certified public accountant.  In addition to having a traditional local accounting practice, I work with employee benefit plans and other organizations throughout the United States. They are facing critical litigation or other existential issues.

I currently serve on Fairview’s Planning and Zoning Commission and have previously served on other Town committees.  In addition, I am the president of the Oakwood Estates’ Homeowners Association and was once the Association’s treasurer in 2012.

My volunteer activities include serving on the boards of the LifePath Foundation and Collin County Community Advocacy.  I was previously an adult leader of Ryan’s Boy Scout troop and continue to serve as a member of the Eagle Trail District Committee.

I am a charter member of the Fairview Rotary Club and one of its past presidents.  I have been a District 5810’s leadership team member, either as District Secretary or an Assistant Governor, since 2017.  Finally, I am a member of the Texas Association of Business Education, Transportation, and Water Policy committees.
